Wedding Card Insert!

Ok……..we are now printing our wedding card insert, so that after the 7th month, we can start giving out invitations le……1st day of 8th Lunar Month is on 1 Sept 2008……..which means i got abt 6 weeks before wedding. Jus nice right?

Anyway…….i’m quite pissed wif the wedding card insert printing….Actually we were referred to T-Dragon by our banquet, and we did went, but by then it was already 4 days before 7th mth start and my mom says no decisions are to make during 7th month, u can plan but not decide……EVEN DECIDE LET WHO PRINT also cannot!!!! so we oni got 4 days to decide~

So…… we went and then was quoted 200++ for 300pcs. We actually wanted since they already got the layout and everything just that THEY ARE REALLY VERY BUSY LAH, tat gal was actually attending to 4 couples at one go. See how busy she is? Cuz she really got alot banquets/restaurants tied up wif them.

Anyway, I was printing inserts, not onto the cards, so….200++ k for hot stamping lah.

And before leaving at 5pm, the guy who used to print namecards for my co finally called back and i did told him i wanted to print, so he was eager to meet me the next day. Thus we didnt confirm on the first day! we wanted to compare and see how.

So this guy, G, he quoted me 140nett for 300pcs, but it’s jus printing, not wat hot stamping lah, which i think is good enuff… so of cuz take right?

in the end, we were told we have to provide everything for him lor…… the english and the chinese. And while at TD, i saw ppl jus need to change name, then add 10 for 1 logo and another 10 for another logo. so 20 for 2 logos k…pay more do less?

okok, i tot i can jus copy and paste so i send him the first time. he says cannot  come out will be blur, cuz i scanned the sample i had and cut and paste the 2 samples he gave me.

2nd time……i finally did a very nice one and retyped the whole chinese part for him (spending the whole night)……. he says ok, but cannot insert clipart cuz my clipart not 300dpi……KNS, wah biang, u early say lah, u think i know the clipart got how much resolution meh.

and also, in betw he was MIA-ing for 3-4 days or 1 week?

Finally, last night, dear robin worked his night away to rearrange and making sure that all are in 480dpi, and all fonts/characters are editable, so no lost of resolution.

he did send us a copy of the insert and super imposing onto our wedding card. so far it looks nice……

Now wif fingers crossed, i hope he can deliver to us on 1st sept 08 wif wat we expected!

2008

This yr, 2008, i seem to heard lots of weddings going on, be it my frens/relatives or some strangers….. i kept hearing, even celebrities….. like Carina Lau & Tony Leung, and even TW’s most wealthy man (is him anot?, he jus got married yday) …. and coming on is Kelly Chen. anyway i do heard lah….

About why i chose this yr? …… it’s jus like we shd had it this yr! not cuz of it’s 08 (fatt) or wat lah.

and our date is 11/10/08…..nothing special ah, if insist to have a reason jus that 11/10 are all binary numbers, jus nice for the both of us who had some relation wif binary numbers? haaaaaaa

When we first got tog, he asked me when do i wish to get married? I told him 25. Which is on time, cuz i jus had my 25th bday on 21/07/08. I asked him…..and his reply mayb 30? which oso on time? haaaa so why not?

And we are already in our 4th yr, though there is no rule or regulation stating we had to get married, but we jus tot it’s time? since….there is no objections to us getting married either.

buahahah……. are u abit lost?

it’s okie…….because i wrote this post jus that i felt that i want to……and we are getting married jus because we want to.

June – July

Updates

• Today, just confirmed my solemniser, i invited the one that solemnise my relative as I think he left me a great impression, hopefully he will make my day well. Had a great talk with him and am grateful for his gentle reminder. For more info on filling for solemnisation, please to ROM.
• Btw, Solemnisation is after 1st march in, would really hope our guests wont be late so that we can have everybody in the banquet hall to withness it. =P
• Photoshoot had been done on 24th June 2008, it was a great experience though it was tiring…quite fun actually, just tat by the end of the day, my jaws are too tired to even open. Am waiting for them to call us up to choose photos!
• Room-wise…. Wardrobe, Bed + Mattress, Curtain, Lights all installed! Now is to get a night table, a chest of drawer, a fan and a computer desk and our room is complete! Thought no renovation was done, but so far we are quite satisfied with the outcome. Especially i see the “happiness” through robin’s eyes.
• As August is approaching (the 7th Month), preparations may come to a halt, so invitations will oni be sent out in Sept.
• Food tasting scheduled on 22nd July 2008 (Tue), we would be choosing our theme, wedding favours, invitation card as well… (or i think so)
• The most problematic thing – Guest list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or rather RSVP, cuz inviting ppl is easy, but checking the confirmed attendance would need some approach.
• We already booked some rooms @ Copthorne Orchid for our relatives (from KL) as that is the nearest as the exit of the hotel is facing RTC.. heee

phew……lengthy text post. Jus to update you guys what we had been doing…

Our Room – The “New” Room

As you all would have know, we will be staying with his parents @ woodlands……

Another good news, at least to me, that my workplace would be shifting to Mandai…….tat makes my traveling cut short!!!!!! it would oni be a 10mins drive or 20 mins bus ride. woohoo!!! oh yah, i am not changing job lah, jus tat my dad tot that he needs a bigger space to commodate everything, so he was being introduced to Mandai Estate and he like it, also because it would be nearer to his new place next time.

Anyway…….

back to the topic to… OUR NEW ROOM!

so far…..

• Our wall has been painted! Initially the feature wall is dark grey and will light grey walls, but then……dunno is it kana cheated, the light grey dun look grey instead it looks like white and worse still, the paint isnt matte, it’s glossy!!!!!!!! wth?!?!?!? now the room is v bright lor! but since painted haf to grow to love it right? but i like the feature wall alot! although it’s grey lah, no wallpaper, nothing. haaaaaaa. But then i prefer the living room feature wall color, it’s much nicer!
• Wardrobe bought from v.hive has also arrived last saturday! It’s a sliding door with 2 big mirror. but i think not bad enuff to store our stuffs, so it’s either i dun bring my entire rubbish over and leave some in my maiden’s house…..or mayb see how it goes when the bed comes!
• Bed bought from Roland’s Bed @ West Coast, we saw an offer during Labour Day and went down and bought it. The bed frame is a storage bed…
• Most prob would get a chest of drawer…… but not sure yet as not sure where to put it.
• Bedlinen….. jus bought 1 set during the GSS from OG, jus know that my bro would be getting another set for me as a wedding gift……hohoho recently i am so into bedlinen lor….One recommendation: Friven & Co, but it’s damn exp jus for looking pleasure.
• Computer Desk – i am still thinking whether to get one as i am afraid it would cramp the room further more…….so…..unless i really find one compact. Another headache is not enuff electrical point lah, so how to put… if not i really would love a Zen-style standing lamp… hehehehe

the time has come………….gambate~~~ to all BTBs!!!

Evening shoes

To play safe and also to complement my evening gown, i am getting another pair of heels…actually ought to as the wedding and evening gown is of diff color. So I am sourcing for another as the evening pair….but it isnt easy either! Finding a 4-inch heel….

Anyway i think i cannot wear 4″, the most it’s 3.5″ as it’s really killing me wif the strain on the lower back.

Those tat I really fancy are off my budget……even with the GSS going on, mayb i really gonna raise my budget le…. actually i already sourced 1 that i really quite like but not up to robin’s liking and the one he preferred is even more expensive.

And the problem is, i am not sure whether is my size still available anot, furthermore they carry 6 1/2, Just my size! 7 is a tad too loose… hopefully when i go back to CK Tang by the end of this week they still had it, else mayb i gonna consider the one at Taka.

In the case if my day time wedding shoes give way, i gonna wear this black pair then i will make sure the photographer dun take it! haaaaaa….but at least i got an extra pair.

Hee……May jus passed by w/o me realizing!

Frankly speaking, I am so busy wif work that I really almost forgot i got a wedding blog! Until today enen told me she jus realized that I got, then i was like…..oh yah hor, i got a wedding blog! But my own personal blog also lack of updates, so how would i have the time for this.

By the way, speaking of wedding preparations!

We bought our bed during the labour day promotion, it’s jus a bed by four-star but we didnt took its mattress as it’s too soft, not to the liking of robin. so we changed to another brand which we do like its firmness! Bed was scheduled to deliver in sept! Anyway we did wanted to get a set lah, but that promotion is by a shop that ONLY SELLS BEDS! so now we haf to source for

1. wardrobe
2. computer table 
3. side table 
4. a full length mirror (But it can be in-built within the wardrobe)

By the way, it was said to be the off-peak season for furniture so do go grab some good offers before some occassions/festivals come!

I went for my evening gown fitting last monday and i quite like the color though at first when i saw her carry it to the changing room i did felt unrest as i think it looks abit weird but when i wore it, i quite like the feeling of it on me, hopefully wif the beadings it would look even better! In fact, i love it more than the wedding gown! Robin oso had his measurements taken FINALLY, and would return for a final fitting on 17th June, a week before the photoshoot! In case you are interested to know, my photoshoot is on 24th June 2008, hopefully the photos would be in time as we got oni 3 mths plus, which is quite short as usually couples take at least 4mths in advance!

In order to create some suspense, sorry i shall not post my evening gown fitting pictures! so that when u all see me on the actual day, u all wont be so sian! haaaaaa

April – 6mths + more~

It had been quite some time since I last updated.

It’s still quite some time to my next fitting – 19th May 2008 and as my gowns are set at the moment so I dun haf to brain-storm what my gown shd look like, thus my research has stopped!

• However, nowadays I am thinking of hairstyle. But I am doing it mentally

P/S: as i am in the office now, will be back to update wif pictures.

• As i will be staying with my in-laws so there is no fret over where to stay. and renovation will be oni limited to the room oni if there is. Even so, I guess it’s just installation of the light or maybe curtain hanger?
• For the bridal room furniture, we intend to visit some furniture warehouse soon to check out wat they offer.
• Of what I heard, we might be painting the house by ourselves.
• Wedding Bands – we are advised by the manager of a jewellery shop to buy during Singapore Great Sale, meaning June-July.
• Wedding Invitations – 3 mths before Wedding = July
• Food Tasting – at least 3 mths before Wedding = July

From what I see now, July being always the busiest/MOST IMPORTANT (=P)  month of the year…….will be VERY ACCOMPLISH JULY 2008.

Ok lah, actually I guess you all can see that I am just trying to write something so that this blog wont die.

Anyway my husband and I are really very busy with our own work lah……so explained the lack of entries and U can also see that my personal blog I am oni updating till CNY. haaaaaa.

Phase 2 – Completed!

Today, we went to my bridal studio for WG 1st fitting…..heeeeee lost some weight so the dress was loose….and then, the designer didnt sew up the bottom so end up i haf to wear their 5-inches and he made me walk backward!?!?!?!? wah biang…..it’s a challenge to my balancing, i almost stepped on my skirt and fall so in the end I got fed up and jus picked up my skirt and walk dun care lah!

Today, I also finally designed my EG, will be having the first fitting on 19th May (Monday).

Today, I also settled my tea-dress………the designer doesnt allow me to use red. I tot can substitute wearing a kua if i wear red! But designer say those dresses that I showed him doesnt make me look like a bride, look like some gown from some shops……..so…….i m back to off-white tea-dress………Urgh!!!!! So now, I have to think what color my jie-mei has to wear. sian~

Today, I realized….. my WG -> Tea Dress -> EG is covering more and more……which mayb more comfortable. But shdnt it be the other way round? haaaaaaaa nvm lah…..my skin is precious, shall not reveal so much. =P I quite enjoy robin’s expression when the designer says he wan me to wear low cut….. I am crazy but when i saw the ‘BIG NO’ on his face, i felt v happy. haaaaaaaaaa

Today, I also set my photoshoot date already on 24th June (Tuesday)

ha….. but nvm, cuz i think patient is good as he will more patient to tell us how to pose right? :P 

Today, my aunt called and told me some stuffs………seem like I have to plan my guest list again
